WORLD'S LARGEST & MOST SECURE FILM LIBRARY & INTERNATIONAL CINEMA CENTER

NAME OF THE LIBRARY & CENTRE IS UNDER PROCESS...

A UNIQUE PROJECT TO PRESERVE THE CINEMA ART by YOUNG INDIANS

THE FILM LIBRARY WOULD BE DIVIDED INTO FIVE SECTIONS

FOUNDATION STONE: 2023 (In Around 2 Hectare)

FOUNDATION STONE: 2023 (In Around 11+ Hectare)

FUTURE VALUATION OF THIS PROJECT: Around INR ONE TRILLION

The basic aim of the Library is to bring the world cinemas under one roof to ensure promotion, preservation and conservation of films of all countries and of all genres, and to work as a catalyst for cultural exchange between different continents. All are invited to join the global effort - as an individual, as a institution,or as a Government/Corporate entity.

Our most essential step is to have a Global Film Library. Art and Culture need continuous efforts for conservation and preservation. Film is an art form that integrates several art forms. Therefore, it needs bigger efforts for conservation and preservation. We are moving on the path of promoting and executing these ideas.

We have lost so much in the course of time but it is very crucial to at least preserve what we still have! And we are making this effort. It is the need of an hour to save whatever we are left with. This is the need of an hour to conserve the essence of cinema and its culture as we would have nothing to offer to our future generations. Let’s face this challenge with courage so that this dilemma doesn’t appear as big as it is today, to our future generations. This is the one more idea behind the procreation of this Library.

We commit that money received from all the sources would be spent only on Library activities and not on any other activity. The statement of income and expenditure would be provided on demand to every contributor of the Library. Also details will be available on website.

It's a unique project conceived taking into account interests of all stakeholders – producers, film buffs and scholars.

The films submitted to the Library would have shelf-life of centuries. The producer/ production house/ director/ Government or those who would be submitting his/her film would always have option of taking out a copy whenever required for its market exploitation, for film festivals or otherwise.

Everyone can join in this global effort – as an individual capacity, as an institution or as a Government/corporate entity.

The Film Library would accept contributions/donations for its endeavour. Anyone can contribute.

THE FILM LIBRARY WOULD BE DIVIDED INTO FIVE SECTIONS:
General Film Library.
Online Film Library.
World’s Largest Film Library with Most Secure Film Vault.
World Cinema and Cultural Studies Centre.
Film Preservation, Conservation and Restoration Centre.

THE GENERAL FILM LIBRARY would be located in Jaipur City. The beginning is being made from this year from JIFF office. (You may visit the Library or JIFF website for the progress). It would be expanded later. A part of this Library would be attached to the World’s Largest Film Library to be located in Jaipur Rural.

THE WORLD’S LARGEST FILM LIBRARY would be located in a sprawling around 11+ Hectare of land. The infrastructure would include office complex, theaters, guest house, cafeteria, post-production studio and helipad.

This part of the Library (WORLD’S MOST SECURE SECTION) would be so designed that the films preserved here would remain secure in any kind of natural or human catastrophe including floods, fire, earthquakes and wars etc. in particular region. For obvious reasons the certain security measures would remain secret.

THE ONLINE FILM LIBRARY would have its own server on which selected films would be available online. Such films would available for online viewing – both on the free and the paid basis.

The revenue generated from paid viewing facility of films would be shared between the producer of the viewed film and the Library.

By becoming a member of the Library or paying online anyone would be able to view a film anywhere in the world online.

The online viewing facility would be available by 2022 or 2023.

THE WORLD CINEMA AND CULTURAL STUDIES CENTRE and THE FILM PRESERVATION AND THE RESTORATION CENTRE would become operational in 2024.

Meanwhile the Cultural Study Centre would launch a research project of audio-video documentation of Rajasthani culture. For this project cooperation of the Govt. would be sought.
